Beaumaris Band Battle to Glory!

On Sunday 28th September Seindorf Beaumaris Band represented Wales at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain held at the International Conference Centre in Harrogate.  The band, conducted by Gwyn Evans gained 1st prize in the first section out of 17 bands and were applauded for their atmospheric and musical portrayal of an extremely descriptive new composition by Philip Sparke ‘The Saga of Haakon the Good’. The band’s principal cornet player, Paul Hughes won the trophy for ‘Best Soloist’ of the day.

The band has much to celebrate and looks forward to the challenges ahead.  A big THANK YOU to all the band members and Gwyn for their hard work and dedication and a special thanks to all our supporters!
