Gwyn M Evans

The startling success of Seindorf Beaumaris Band must be attributed to their highly motivated Musical Director, Gwyn Evans. His charismatic leadership, musical understanding and a relentless driving passion for quality and excellence has inspired many musicians over the years.

He works as a Peripatetic teacher on the Isle of Anglesey for the William Mathias School Services. His Musical interests are broad. A fine jazz trumpeter, who loves to play and listen to top class Big Bands, as well as small combos, orchestras or even just solo trumpet playing. As well as playing musical instruments he has also established a successful business as a Piano Technician, repairing and restoring pianos.

Musical Director - 'B' Band and Youth Band

Paul Hughes

Paul took over as conductor from Fred in 2002 and is proud to front the very successful 3rd section 'B' Band, National Champions of Great Britain, section 4 in 2000.

As well as being the Senior Band's principal cornet player he also conducts the Youth Band and is an inspiration to all members of Beaumaris Band.

Fred Evans M.B.E.

Fred has been Chairman of Seindorf Beaumaris Band since 1983. In recognition of his dedication and commitment to the Band, Fred was awarded the M.B.E. in 1992.

As well as the tutoring of the 60 strong junior and intermediate bands, Fred has been and still is the driving force behind the success of Seindorf Beaumaris Band.
