Youth Band trombone player, Gwenllian Howe, has won the inaugural Ruth Gwilliam Shield as Seindorf Beaumaris Band's most improved musician.
Gwenllian was presented with the award, made in memory of former Seindorf Beaumaris Band member Ruth Gwilliam, at the Band's summer concert on Saturday evening.
A pupil at Ysgol Tryfan, she only started playing the trombone three years ago, joining the Beaumaris Youth set up as a member of the Intermediate Band.
As well as helping the Intermediate Band to success in the Junior Section of the National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain, Gwenllian gained a Merit in her Grade 6 exam during the summer term.
As a member of the Tryfan Jazz Band and the County Symphonic Band, Gwenllian is an extremely busy musician.
And as if one instrument wasn't enough, Gwenllian is also an accomplished violinist, playing with the county's Symphonic Orchestra.
Llongyfarchiadau mawr Gwenllian!
