The most recent addition to the Seindorf Beaumaris Band family is the Last of the Summer Wind. 

 

The LSW were formed in 2008 after Fred's son, Gwyn, returned from a visit to Norway inspired by the fact that the bands there included the whole family. Children, parents and grandparents all played in the same family of bands; something Gwyn and Fred were determined should happen in Beaumaris too.

On the first rehearsal night nine people turned up but since then the social band, made up of former players, parents and friends of the band who had decided that listening and watching their friends and family play wasn’t enough, boasts over 40 members.

With several generations of several families playing in the various bands it is difficult to escape the friendly, family atmosphere of the Band.

The LSW rehearse on a Wednesday evening between 7.00pm and 8.30pm and a warm welcome is extended to anyone who fancies "having a go!"
